The Pacific Shift: Has International Arbitration’s Center of Gravity Moved?
March 16, 2022 @ 8:30 am - 9:45 am
SVAMC is pleased to host a virtual panel, “The Pacific Shift: Has International Arbitration’s Center of Gravity Moved?” during California International Arbitration Week taking place March 14-18, 2022.
This session will explore the changing locus of international disputes, as arbitration’s center of gravity inexorably moves toward the Pacific. Coincidentally or otherwise, this westward (from a US viewpoint) move has also seen an uptick in technology companies’ engagement with ADR. Will this presage a decade of dispute resolution within and among the tech-centric Pacific Rim industries — and what might this represent for California’s role in international arbitration?
A panel of distinguished arbitrators and counsel from the SVAMC will consider these important questions.
