SVAMC Announces 2025 Board Leadership, New Directors, and Officers

Silicon Valley Arbitration & Mediation Center (SVAMC) is pleased to announce the results of its 2025 Annual Board Meeting, held on November 18, 2025, in New York City and via videoconference, including the election of Board leadership, appointment of Officers, and the addition of two distinguished new Directors.

Board Leadership Confirmed

The Board unanimously reaffirmed the following leadership for a two-year term through the 2027 Annual Meeting:

  • Les Schiefelbein, Chair
  • Chris Compton, Vice Chair

New Directors Elected

SVAMC proudly welcomes two new Directors whose expertise strengthens the organization’s global leadership in technology dispute resolution:

  • Victoria Shannon Sahani (Boston) – Professor of Law and Director of the BU/MIT Technology Law Clinic, Boston University School of Law
  • Steve Bauer (Boston) – Experienced neutral with JAMS and nationally recognized ADR leader

The election of Victoria and Steve strengthens SVAMC’s global leadership in technology dispute resolution and reflects our continued commitment to new and valuable perspectives in tech ADR.

Directors Re-Elected for 2025–2027 Term

The following Directors were elected to new two-year terms:

Gary Benton, Ray Bender, Michael Diamant, Jonathan Fitch, Sherman Kahn, Paul Eric Mason, Sarah Reynolds, Dorothee Schramm, Patricia Shaughnessy, and Neil Smith.

Directors Concluding Service

SVAMC extends its deep appreciation to the following Directors for their service and leadership:

Elizabeth Chan, Paul Cohen, and James Madison.

2025–2026 Executive Officers Appointed

The Board also approved the following Executive Officers for one-year terms:

  • Jonathan W. Fitch, Chief Executive Officer
  • Ucheora Onwuamaegbu, President
  • Dorothee Schramm, Vice President
  • Steve Bauer, Treasurer
  • Cynthia Cwik, Secretary

In addition, the Board reaffirmed SVAMC’s Personnel/Discrimination Policy, Conflict of Interest Policy, and its organizational commitment to advancing diversity and inclusion in technology ADR.
