Presentations on Aviation Arbitration and the Singapore Convention on Mediation

Paul Mason organized and moderated two panels on Aviation Arbitration.  The most recent one, “Commercial Arbitration for Disputes in the Aviation Sector with Brazilian Parties” (in Portuguese), was broadcast on the Brazilian YouTube Canal Arbitragem (Arbitration Channel) on October 29, with Panel speakers Jaime Garcia-Nieto, VP/Legal Director for Airbus/Latin America, Erica Franzetti, Arbitration Partner at King & Spalding, and Renato Grion, Arbitration Partner at Pinheiro Neto.  This followed another Panel Mr. Mason created and moderated at Miami Arbitration Week in November 2023 on Arbitration of Aviation Disputes, with Panelists Garcia-Nieto, Johannes Willheim, Partner at Jones Day in Frankfurt & Paris, and Donald Gray, Partner at Holland & Knight in Miami. The accompanying Panel on Aerospace Disputes was moderated by SVAMC Co-founder and Board Chair Les Schiefelbein and included SVAMC Board member and well-known satellite communications arbitrator Ray Bender.

In November 2024, Mr. Mason gave a presentation in Portuguese to the Brazilian Exporters Association on the benefits of the Singapore Convention on Mediation for Brazilian exporters.”
