Driving Toward More Diverse Selection of Neutrals
March 16, 2023 @ 3:00 pm - 6:00 pm
An Event for Appointers and Appointees
The Ray Corollary Initiative (“RCI”), named after Charlotte Ray, the first woman to graduate from Howard Law School in 1872 and the first Black woman to be admitted to a bar in the United States, is a ground-breaking plan of action to increase diversity in the selection of ADR neutrals.
On May 16, 2023, Howard University School of Law will host an event to discuss overcoming obstacles to the selection of more diverse neutrals in ADR. Among other things, experts in ADR will discuss the RCI’s 30% metric to achieve diversity in the selection of ADR neutrals.
Following the formal program, there will be a reception at the Law School, during which neutrals and appointers will have an opportunity to meet and get to know one another.
Agenda:
6:00 – 7:30 pm Welcome and Panel Discussion (EDT)
7:30 – 9:00 pm Networking (EDT)
