Les Schiefelbein to Participate in 2019 Seoul International Arbitration Week
Les is pleased to be invited to participate in this year’s Seoul International Arbitration Week.
On Thursday September 19th, Les will be a speaker at the KCAB Next & HK45 Seminar and HKIAC Seminar. The panel Les will participate in is titled “Technical Innovation in International Arbitration: How is New Technology Changing Arbitration.”
On Friday September 20th, Les will be a speaker at The 8th Asia Pacific ADR Conference. The topic of his session is “Procedural and Practice Reforms: Is There a Better Way to Improve Our Current Practice?”
On Saturday September 21st, Les will participate in the Seoul Academy for International Arbitration. The Seoul Academy is a program organized by the KCAB INTERNATIONAL to provide practical training for future and current arbitration practitioners from diverse legal backgrounds. The Academy includes lectures, workshops and personal mentoring on various aspects of international arbitration from leading practitioners and arbitrators around the world.
Gary Benton is an internationally recognized Arbitrator with over thirty years major law firm and in-house experience in US and international business, corporate investment, technology, IP and emerging growth matters. Gary’s technology law career includes extensive experience litigating licensing and IP disputes, managing international legal projects for Fortune 500 technology companies, venture financing Silicon Valley tech startups, handling US and international M&A and IPOs, and serving as General Counsel of an Internet cloud security company serving US national security interests. Gary is the founder of the Silicon Valley Arbitration & Mediation Center and serves on its Executive Committee and Board. Prior to becoming a full time arbitrator, Gary was a partner for many years with the leading international law firms Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman LLP and Coudert Brothers LLP in San Francisco and Palo Alto.
