In June, SVAMC Tech List Appointee Theo Cheng was named Secretary of The Copyright Society of the USA. The Society (www.csusa.org) was established as a non-profit organization in 1953 and is devoted to copyright law awareness and education. With members both nationwide and regional chapters in over a dozen major U.S. cities, the Society’s mission is to promote and advance the study and understanding of copyright law and its role in fostering creativity and the arts, copyright industries, and the use and distribution of copyrighted materials through traditional and new media.
The Society is governed by a total of four officers – President, Vice President/President-Elect, Treasurer, and Secretary – and a board of trustees numbering 21.
